      In and Out: Middle East

      September 2016

Since the financial crisis the increase in the amount of cross-regional  investment in commercial real estate (CRE) has been relentless. From a low of just US$18 billion in 2009, it increased to US$156 billion (nearly nine times higher) in 2015. The growth in cross-regional investment has been much faster than that in overall CRE investment. In 2015 that was a little over four times its 2009 level.
